Role Description The Medical Assistant at Bayside Pediatrics supports pediatric providers by performing clinical and administrative tasks to ensure smooth patient flow and high-quality care. Day-to-day responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, updating medical histories, assisting with exams and procedures, preparing vaccines, and providing age-appropriate patient and caregiver instructions. Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Medical Assisting skills, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and assisting with pediatric procedures.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Medical Terminology to communicate effectively with clinicians and accurately document patient information.
- Candidates should possess experience in a Medical Office setting, including appointment scheduling, phone etiquette, and front-desk support.
- Candidates should possess Patient Care skills, with a focus on compassionate, age-appropriate care and clear communication with children and their caregivers.
- Candidate should be fluent in both ENGLISH and SPANISH.
- Candidates should possess abilities in managing Medical Records, including accurate documentation, chart preparation, and adherence to privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and current certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred but not required.
