Job Summary
Bayside Manor is seeking a dedicated Laundry Aide, where your energy and attention to detail will ensure the cleanliness and proper care of facility laundry . In this vital role, you will handle laundry services with efficiency and safety, contributing to a hygienic environment that supports the well-being of residents, patients, or staff. Your proactive approach and commitment to sanitation will help maintain high standards of cleanliness and textile care across our facility.
This position is strictly for opening hours. 4:00am to 12:00pm. Every other weekend is a MUST. Full time offering only
Duties
- Operate garment care machines such as industrial washers and dryers to ensure thorough cleaning of textiles and linens
- Handle laundry materials with care, including sorting, folding, and organizing items for distribution or storage
- Use push carts and other equipment to transport laundry loads safely throughout the facility
- Follow strict safety protocols during manual handling and heavy lifting to prevent injuries
- Apply laundry detergents and cleaning agents correctly, adhering to safety standards in production and sanitation guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas, ensuring compliance with sanitation standards and safety regulations
- Assist with textile cleaning processes by inspecting items for stains or damage and reporting issues promptly
Requirements
- Prior experience in cleaning, laundry services, or materials handling is preferred but not required; paid training will be provided
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including pushing carts safely
- Strong attention to sanitation practices to ensure a hygienic environment
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with staff or residents regarding laundry needs
- Ability to operate garment care machines such as industrial washers and dryers efficiently
- Commitment to following safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries
Pay: From $15.95 per hour
