Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and serving meals to residents in accordance with established menus and dietary guidelines
- Ensure meals are presented in an appetizing and resident-centered manner
- Deliver food trays to residents and assist with meal service in the dining room as needed
- Follow special diet orders and portion guidelines accurately
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and food preparation areas according to facility and state regulations
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and maintain cleanliness of the dish room
- Restock supplies and assist with inventory control
- Adhere to infection control, food safety, and sanitation standards
- Work collaboratively with the dietary team and other staff to support resident satisfaction
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in food service or healthcare setting preferred, but not required
- Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and safety standards
- Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused
- Ability to work a flexible, PRN schedule (including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed)
