Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and be proficient in various maintenance tasks. The Maintenance Assistant will work closely with other team members to maintain high standards of safety, efficiency, and customer service.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment and facilities to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for equipment monitoring and control.
- Conduct welding tasks as needed for repairs and modifications.
- Read and interpret schematics to assist in diagnosing problems effectively.
- Assist with residential painting projects as required.
- Provide leadership and supervision to junior staff or interns during maintenance projects.
- Deliver excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or residents.
Requirements
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance.
- Proficiency in electrical systems and the use of tools such as an ohmmeter.
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings effectively.
- Previous experience in manufacturing environments is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a focus on teamwork.
- Supervising experience is a plus for leading small teams during projects.
