- Meal Program Assistant/ Playground Supervisor
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Ensures that the work site is maintained and operated in a safe and sanitary manner.
- Follows temperature, sanitation guidelines set by the food service provider.
- Organizes and serves students prepared meals from food service providers.
- Utilizes a Point of Service “POS” system to track and record student meals.
- Participates in necessary training for the food program POS system.
- Participates in training to obtain the required Food Handler’s Certificate.
- Orders, issues, and accounts for food and supplies from food service providers.
- Receives delivery from food service providers.
- Organizes new food deliveries and sorts food to be thrown out.
- Cleans out the refrigerators.
- Maintains on-site food storage and takes regular inventory as required by the food service provider.
- Prepares and submits daily supply reports
- Stores used, number of pupils, production worksheets, and meal forecasts as required by the food service provider.
- Maintains appropriate and required records and logs; ensuring the proper completion, processing and documentation for reporting to the State.
- Plans and prepares menus in conjunction with the food service provider; ensuring guidelines are followed and requirements are met.
- Maintains and updates student and family records in the food service POS system.
- Ensures proper link for the food service POS system with the School Information System
“SIS”.
- Supervises, oversees and coordinates meal program employees.
- Oversees students on playground
- Oversees students in lunchroom
- Provides oversight of students where needed
- Performs other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma/GED required
- Food Handler’s Permit, preferred, but training provided
- Child care experience strongly preferred
- Ability to pass background check
- Negative TB Test Result
- CPR and First-Aid certification, highly preferred, but willing to train
