CUSTOM CABINET MAKER/INSTALLER
We are seeking an experienced Cabinet Make/Installer to construct, assemble, and install custom cabinetry and architectural millwork. This role involves both shop production and on-site installation, requiring precision, strong blueprint interpretation skills, and proficiency with woodworking tools and equipment. The ideal candidate delivers high-quality workmanship while meeting project timelines across residential, commercial, or restoration projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and projects specifications
- Measure, cut, assemble, and finish wood components to precise tolerances
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and CNC machinery safely and efficiently
- Install cabinetry, trim, and millwork at job sites
- Perform finishing work including sanding, caulking, and adjustments for proper fit/appearance
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality and adherence to specifications
- Collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure timely project completion
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in both shop and field settings
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cabinetry, trim, and millwork fabrication and installation
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment (CNC experience a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship standards
- Ability to lift and handle materials safely
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as required for project assignments
- Ability to access customer job sites, including government facilities, which may impose security requirements such as background checks, drug screenings, or other site-specific clearances
Preferred
- Experience working with commercial and government projects
- Familiarity with related trades (electrical, plumbing, general construction)
OTHER INFORMATION
Work Environment
- Work is performed in both a workshop and active construction sites
- May require standing for extended periods, lifting materials, and working in varying conditions
