Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including Ambulatory Surgery Centers, Nursing Homes, and Medical-Surgical units. This role requires a thorough understanding of nursing standards and practices, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in accordance with established protocols and standards.
- Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and implement interventions based on patient needs.
- Monitor patient progress and respond promptly to changes in condition or emergencies.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate medical records using eClinicalWorks and ensure compliance with documentation standards.
- Educate patients and families on health management, disease prevention, and post-operative care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to infection control practices, including sterile processing.
- Education: Must hold a valid RN license in Texas and have completed an accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing).
- Experience: Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting is often preferred.
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is typically required; additional certifications in geriatric care may be beneficial.
