What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pawn Broker/Sales Associate position at BAYOU PAWN & JEWELRY LLC?
Bayou Pawn & Jewelry is looking for a motivated and outgoing candidate to fill the Pawnbroker/Sales associate position at our newest location. The position pays hourly. We are growing pawn shop chain in southeast Louisiana with 5 locations. No knowledge of the pawn business is required; if you’re an outgoing person we can teach you everything you need to know in order to become our next team member.
You will be responsible for selling products, merchandise, and services in a retail setting in order to drive company revenue.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome and identify customer needs
- Explain products and services to customers
- Monitor inventory to ensure product is in stock.
- Stocking and Pulling Inventory
- Enter and process customer orders
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints
- Processing loans, extensions, and sales
- Evaluate customer’s items for loan value
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to build rapport with customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Some knowledge of firearms, jewelry, electronics, musical equipment, and tools is not required but is preferred.
- Minimum 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds
