Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations, logistics coordination, inventory control, and material handling activities. This position requires an individual with strong leadership skills, operational discipline, and a valid CDL who can actively support transportation, loading/unloading, and customer deliveries when needed.

The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial distribution, metals, manufacturing, marine, or construction-related environments and understand the importance of safety, organization, and on-time service.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all daily warehouse operations including receiving, shipping, storage, staging, and inventory accuracy
• Supervise warehouse personnel and coordinate workflow for maximum efficiency
• Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, side loaders, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of warehouse and yard areas
• Coordinate inbound and outbound freight with vendors, customers, and transportation providers
• Perform and oversee loading/unloading of aluminum products, plate, extrusion, and other industrial materials
• Utilize CDL to perform local or regional deliveries as required
• Ensure all DOT, OSHA, and company safety procedures are followed
• Conduct inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records
• Monitor equipment condition and coordinate maintenance and repairs
• Assist with route planning, load optimization, and logistics scheduling
• Maintain proper shipping documentation, receiving paperwork, and delivery records
• Support production, fabrication, and customer service teams with material flow and scheduling
• Train warehouse personnel on safety procedures and operational standards

Required Qualifications

• Valid Class A or Class B CDL with clean driving record
• Minimum 5 years of warehouse, logistics, or material handling experience
• Previous supervisory or management experience preferred
• Experience operating forklifts and industrial material handling equipment
• Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and DOT regulations
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work in indoor/outdoor industrial environments
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Experience with inventory systems and shipping documentation
• Dependable, self-motivated, and capable of leading by example

Preferred Experience

• Aluminum, steel, or industrial distribution experience
• Marine, shipbuilding, manufacturing, or construction industry background
• Experience handling oversized or long-length materials
• Familiarity with ERP or warehouse management systems
• Crane operation experience

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday
• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs regularly
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to safely climb onto trailers and equipment when necessary
