Join our team as a Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver and become a vital part of providing safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation services for patients requiring non-emergency medical travel. In this energetic role, you will operate passenger vehicles, including vans and shuttles, ensuring timely and comfortable journeys for clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and other essential destinations. Responsibilities

  • Safely operate passenger vehicles such as vans, shuttles, or personal vehicles to transport clients on local routes according to scheduled appointments.
  • Ensure compliance with all state transportation regulations and traffic laws during every trip.
  • Assist passengers with boarding, exiting, and securing mobility aids when necessary, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and cleanliness before each shift.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, dispatchers, and healthcare providers to coordinate pick-up and drop-off times.
  • Manage manual handling tasks such as loading and unloading mobility devices or luggage with care.
  • Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage logs, and client information in accordance with company policies.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a delivery driver, bus driver, chauffeur, or shuttle driver is highly desirable.
  • Valid driver’s license appropriate for operating passenger vehicles; commercial driver’s license (CDL) or chauffeur license preferred.
  • Experience with GPS navigation systems to efficiently plan routes and adapt to traffic conditions.
  • Familiarity with local driving routes, heavy lifting techniques, and safety procedures for passenger vehicle operation.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting professionally with clients and healthcare staff.
  • Knowledge of state transportation regulations related to passenger vehicles and medical transportation services.
  • Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while maintaining a friendly attitude.
  • Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge to identify issues early and ensure vehicle safety standards are met.
