We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Seasonal Tax Preparer to join our accounting team during the busy tax season. Duties
- Prepare and review individual, business, and corporate tax returns accurately and efficiently using tax software.
- Assist clients with tax-related questions, providing excellent customer service throughout the process.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and other financial tools to gather necessary data.
- Conduct analysis of financial documents to identify potential deductions, credits, and compliance issues.
- Maintain organized records of all client documentation and ensure confidentiality.
- Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines during the peak tax season.
- Support marketing efforts by promoting services to existing clients and potential new clients.
- Apply technical accounting knowledge and bookkeeping skills to ensure precise reporting.
Requirements
- Prior experience in tax preparation or public accounting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts, accounting principles, and tax laws.
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and other financial software tools.
- Excellent analysis skills combined with attention to detail for accurate data entry (including 10 key typing).
- Background in financial sales or marketing is a plus for client engagement initiatives.
- Knowledge of corporate accounting, bookkeeping, and technical accounting practices highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak tax season while maintaining high-quality work standards.
