Client is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company hire a Collision Repair Specialist to lead body repairs for its test and operations fleet.
In this role, you will oversee collision repairs, develop and execute repair plans with certified shops, onboard new repair partners, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate processes and minimize vehicle downtime.
The ideal candidate has OEM-certified collision repair experience, strong body and paint repair skills, and can guide shops and engineers while standardizing procedures to support operational readiness.
As a Collision Repair Specialist, you'll:
Support the collision program by onboarding repair shops and developing a certified collision repair network.
Guide shops performing cosmetic and structural repairs, serving as the subject matter expert for engineering consultations.
Test and validate repair solutions, document methods, and contribute to standard operating procedure (SOP) development.
Partner with supply chain and serviceability engineers to plan spare parts for new vehicle releases.
Support repair cost estimation and collision evaluations.
Identify improvement opportunities, collaborating with tooling engineers to develop repair tools and advance in-house capabilities.
Participate directly in repair activities, including paint-related touch-ups.
Occasionally travel to company sites to inspect, document, and evaluate vehicle damage.

Daily tasks
Responsibilities: Support the collision program team in onboarding collision repair shops to develop a Client''s collision network at various operational sites. Support the collision repair program in testing and validating repair solutions. Assist with the documentation of repair procedures and methods, thereby enabling SOP development. Provide guidance to the repair shops performing repairs on fleet vehicles. Serve as a subject matter expert on all repairs by consulting with the engineering teams. Partner with various cross-functional teams to support repair operations as needed, ensuring timely repairs and reducing vehicle downtime. Collaborate with the supply chain team and serviceability engineers to develop a spare parts planning strategy for new vehicle releases. Support cost estimation for repairs by collaborating with the repair shops and program team for use during collision evaluations. Participate in repair activities to identify and document improvement opportunities. Collaborate with tooling engineers to create the necessary tools to advance internal repair capabilities. Required skills
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Automotive Technology. Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in the collision industry with OEM Structural Repair Certifications from instructor-led training from Tesla, Jaguar, BMW, Mercedes Benz, Audi, etc. Ability to explain and demonstrate best practices for all areas of collision repair methodology (cosmetic & structural) pertaining to Sheet Molded Compound, Aluminum, Steel, and Plastics. Proven track record in performing complex body related repairs, collaborating with cross-functional teams to create solutions, and independently managing multiple projects. Demonstrated ability to perform hands on paint related repair involving minor touch up Proven capability in executing practical paint repairs, including minor touch-ups. Strong computer skills, proficiency in Catia 3Dx CAD software or/and rapid assimilation of new systems are essential, or willingness and ability to quickly learn. Willingness to travel domestically for business purposes as needed.
