Position Summary:
The Front Desk Associate is the first point of contact for guests and plays a key role in providing a welcoming and positive experience. This position is responsible for checking guests in and out, answering inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction in alignment with Baymont’s standards of hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests with a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor.
- Check guests in and out efficiently using the hotel’s property management system (PMS).
- Handle reservations, cancellations, and modifications by phone, email, and walk-in.
- Accurately process payments, cash handling, and maintain a balanced cash drawer.
- Provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and travel directions.
- Address and resolve guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Communicate effectively with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure guest needs are met.
- Monitor lobby activity and maintain a clean, organized front desk and lobby area.
- Complete nightly audit procedures and reports (if assigned to night shift).
- Follow all safety, security, and emergency procedures.
- Uphold brand standards for appearance, customer service, and operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous front desk, customer service, or hospitality experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in basic computer systems and office equipment.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable and punctual, with flexible availability (including weekends and holidays).
- Professional appearance and a positive, guest-focused attitude.
Working Conditions:
- Standing for long periods
- May involve evening, overnight, or weekend shifts
- Handling guest luggage or assisting with minor requests
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
