The Front Desk Agent is responsible for providing excellent guest service while managing the daily operations of the hotel front desk. This role includes guest check-ins and check-outs, handling reservations, responding to guest needs, coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance teams, and ensuring a smooth and positive guest experience from arrival to departure.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Perform guest check-in and check-out procedures accurately
- Answer phone calls, emails, and guest inquiries promptly
- Manage reservations and room assignments using hotel management software
- Process payments, refunds, and daily cash handling procedures
- Respond to guest concerns and resolve issues efficiently and professionally
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance departments regarding room status and guest requests
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area
- Assist with hotel operations and administrative tasks as needed
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety standards, and guest confidentiality
Qualifications
- Previous hotel, hospitality, customer service, or front desk experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable using computers, POS systems, and reservation software
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Preferred Skills
- Experience with hotel PMS systems such as Opera, Cloudbeds, or SynXis
- Cash handling and payment processing experience
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply
Pay: $9.50 - $10.25 per hour
