Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to ensure the optimal operation and upkeep of our facilities and equipment. This role is vital in maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-functioning environment by performing routine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance across various systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and plumbing skills, along with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving. Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections and perform routine maintenance on building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical equipment, and mechanical components.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems using schematics, wiring diagrams, and tools such as ohmmeters.
• Perform welding, carpentry, painting, and general facilities maintenance tasks to uphold safety standards and aesthetic quality.
• Maintain and repair plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and drainage to ensure proper functionality.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely for various repair tasks while adhering to safety protocols.
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and schedule preventive tasks.
• Supervise or assist with projects involving facilities equipment upgrades or installations while ensuring compliance with technical specifications.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests and providing clear communication about repairs.
• Lead or support maintenance painting projects for building interiors and exteriors to maintain a professional appearance.
• Follow safety procedures related to electrical work, HVAC systems, plumbing repairs, and other technical tasks to minimize hazards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related fields such as manufacturing or building operations.
• Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience; familiarity with schematics is essential.
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and testing devices like ohmmeters.
• Knowledge of HVAC system repair, plumbing system maintenance, electrical work, carpentry, and general building interior upkeep.
• Experience working with CMMS software for tracking maintenance activities.
• Ability to read technical schematics and wiring diagrams accurately.
• Excellent communication skills in English for effective teamwork and customer service interactions.
• Supervising experience is a plus for leadership roles within the maintenance team.
• Certifications related to electrical work or HVAC systems are advantageous but not mandatory; relevant training will be provided if needed.

Pay: From $14.00 per hour
