Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Sunnyvale is seeking a Distribution Tech to be responsible for the receipt, storage and distribution of all materials delivered to the Materials Management Department by various vendors. Responsible for assigned PAR levels throughout the facility, including the adjustment of stock levels.

What your day will look like:

• Receives all materials delivered to the facility by various vendors.
• Properly disburses all materials to various locations in the warehouse and facility.
• Checks all documents for accuracy prior to the processing of packing slips, etc.
• Tags patient chargeable items prior to stocking warehouse shelves.
• Counts, pulls and restocks PAR level supplies as assigned. Daily straightening and general cleanup of PAR areas is required.
• Maintains all areas of material storage in a neat and organized manner, utilizing proper rotation.
• Properly handles and stores sterile supplies, maintaining sterility.
• Forwards information pertaining to critical back-order situations to the Materials Management Director or to the Purchasing Agent.
• Maintains regular delivery schedule for various departments to ensure that the proper quantity of materials is delivered at the proper time.
• Prepares items for return shipment in conjunction with the MM Assistant/Purchasing Agent’s instructions.
• Maintains all equipment utilized in transporting materials in a manner that ensures reliable and safe operation.
• Performs any duties as assigned by the Materials Management Assistant/Purchasing Agent and Materials Management Director.
• Alerts MM Assistant/Purchasing Agent of stock outages via message board. In addition, for critical issues, follows up verbally in an expeditious manner.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the overall function of the Materials Management Department.
• Requires minimal supervision in performance of job duties.
• Completes duties in an efficient manner.
• Understands how to prioritize responsibilities to ensure completion of duties.
• Receives, reviews and fills all requisitions from departments that are not automatically replenished by Materials Management.
• Helps to complete tasks in the materials function that are not within his/her job description. Renders self-available when responsibilities have been met to assist in areas that may require assistance within the materials function
• Is a self-starter; initiates the meeting of responsibilities without prompting.
• Demonstrates efficiency by setting priorities in relation to product flow.

Success Factors:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Valid Texas Driver License
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Additional languages preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge.
