We are seeking a PRN Speech Language Pathologist to join our growing multi-disciplinary team in the Day Neuro setting. The position is PRN Monday-Friday during clinic hours 830-4 at Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation Fort Worth. The candidate will collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to treat patients with neurological injuries that include stroke, brain injury, SCI, and other neurological injuries. We are seeking a candidate with strong neurological rehab skills who works well in a team setting and can provide consistent availability and coverage.

- Perform comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans and deliver skilled interventions for patients in medical-surgical, ICU, telemetry and specialty units
- Participate in interdisciplinary discussions and make recommendations regarding NPO status, diet levels and instrumental assessments
- Document timely and accurately in the electronic medical record per hospital and regulatory standards
- Completing patient/family and staff education related to communication, cognition and swallowing, as appropriate
- Contribute to quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives within our team
- Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist required.
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association or eligibility for Certification pending professional experience required.
- Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required.
- Acute care experience, minimum one year required
- Competency with MBSS, strongly preferred
- Strong communication, critical thinking and teamwork skills
Salary : $60 - $66
