JOB SUMMARY
The Intern, with an emphasis on learning, and under supervision, performs administrative and function-specific activities while working side-by-side with team members in their area. This role will generally be exposed to multiple facets of functional operations and be involved in projects supporting departmental needs and developmental objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
Provides functional-area support in accordance with instructions and established procedures.
Gains knowledge and experience as projects are assigned and completed.
Learns to anticipate or identify problems and proactively works to solve them.
Uses meetings and trainings as an opportunity to learn how to function successfully in the department.
As needed, asks clarifying questions and communicates promptly and effectively with others.

Interpersonal skills required to interact effectively with patients and staff.
