What are the responsibilities and job description for the Credentialing Specialist position at Baylor Medical Center at Frisco (10812)?
Processes initial applications and reappointments for facility. Ensure that all credentialed practitioners are processed in accordance to hospital policy/medical staff bylaws and that all elements of the credentialing and privileging process, as well other departmental functions, are carried out efficiently and thoroughly. Monitors renewals of licensure/certifications/insurance and updates credentialing software. Independently conducts medical staff related business and projects as necessary. Obtains documentation supporting each application to the Medical Staff. including the coordination and distribution of all information required to maintain effective communication among the members of the Medical Staff. Ensures compliance with all laws and regulatory relations to Medical Staff files and membership.
Required Skills:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Some college courses preferred.
- A minimum of two years experience working with a hospital medical staff and credentialing.
- Experience with MD Staff software preferred.
- Good clerical skills including work processing.
- Understands medical staff credentials process.
Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

Experience:
- MD Staff software: 1 year (Preferred)
- Medical Staff Credentialing: 2 years (Required)
