Bayless is seeking a Substitute School Nurse for the 2026–2027 school year. This individual will be called upon, as needed, to provide nursing support across all school levels in the absence of the regular school nurse.

Essential Job Functions
- Provide nursing services to students and staff in the absence of the regular school nurse.
- Assess student and staff health concerns and provide appropriate nursing care, first aid, and emergency response.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with district policy and physician orders.
- Maintain student health records and documentation as required.
- Monitor and support students with chronic health conditions, Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and Section 504 Plans.
- Communicate with parents/guardians, school staff, and healthcare providers regarding student health needs when appropriate.
- Conduct health screenings and follow-up activities as assigned.
- Maintain a safe, sanitary, and organized health room environment.
- Support district policies and procedures related to student health and safety.
- Perform the duties of the regular school nurse during periods of absence and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid state license to practice as a LPN or RN
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Ability to work independently
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
