Assistant Greenhouse Growing Manager
Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as an Assistant Greenhouse Growing Manager and play a key role in cultivating high-quality, healthy plants in a fast-paced greenhouse environment. This hands-on position supports daily growing operations, environmental management, and team coordination. You’ll work closely with the Greenhouse Growing Manager to ensure optimal plant health, efficient workflows, and consistent production standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing daily greenhouse operations, including planting, watering, pruning, and harvesting
- Support the setup, monitoring, and maintenance of irrigation systems to ensure consistent plant care
- Monitor plant health and identify issues related to pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies
- Help maintain optimal environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, airflow, and lighting)
- Safely operate hand tools and greenhouse equipment for planting and maintenance tasks
- Assist with inventory management, including soil, fertilizers, and plant materials
- Support team workflow by helping assign tasks and maintaining productivity standards
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting soil bags, plants, and equipment (up to 50 lbs)
- Assist with outdoor landscaping or garden-related projects as needed
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards throughout the greenhouse
Qualifications
- Previous experience in greenhouse operations, horticulture, farming, or landscaping preferred
- Basic knowledge of irrigation systems and greenhouse equipment
- Ability to identify common plant species and recognize signs of plant stress or disease
- Strong attention to detail and proactive approach to plant care
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions (heat, humidity, outdoor weather)
- Physically capable of lifting, standing, and performing repetitive tasks
- Basic math skills for measurements and mixing nutrients or soil amendments
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Experience with greenhouse climate control systems or fertigation
- Familiarity with integrated pest management (IPM) practices
