Web Engineer- Ruby on Rails

Job Description:

RUBY AND JAVASCRIPT DEVELOPMENT, USING RAILS, WRITING TESTS, DEMONSTRATING WORK COMPLETED TO CUSTOMER IN MEETINGS, PROVIDING DAILY STATUS UPDATES TO TEAM, FOLLOWING CHANGE MANAGEMENT WORKFLOWS, ASSISTING HELP DESK WITH DEBUGGING USER ISSUES, PRESENCE ON OUR INTERNAL MESSAGING SYSTEM DURING WORK HOURS.

 

SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:

We are in the second year of a five-year contract to update and expand an existing Ruby on Rails application and incorporate new features requested by the client. Work will include front end and backend development. We work closely with our customers, and candidates will be expected to participate remotely in weekly meetings to discuss requirements for new development and give demos of completed development. We need a developer who will be able to devote 40 hours a week to the project.

• 3 years of experience with MYSQL
