SALARY RANGE: 16.57 - 24.86HOURLY

General Summary:
Assists in planning and performing a wide variety of activities related to the care and development of children - age 8 weeks to 5 years.
Responsibilities:
- Provides and maintains safe, healthy, and organized classrooms throughout the Center.
- Maintains the care and well-being of the children throughout the Center.
- Assists classroom teacher in planning and conducting age-appropriate activities for children.
- Assist with monitoring tracking of children’s developmental assessment goals and objectives.
- Proactively assists with other assignments, as needed.
- Gives special attention and caring toward Center children and meeting child care needs.
- Promotes children’s wellness by following Center Sick Guidelines and Standard Precautions.
- All other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities
- Education: High School Diploma or GED; Also requires:
- Successful completion and certificate of Training in Early Care and Education, (TECE 1 and TECE 2) ~ OR ~
- Successful completion of a Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) ~ OR ~
- Successful completion of a traditional high school career pathway program in early childhood education accepted by DOE.
- Credential(s): Delaware Educator Data System Certification Heart saver - Within 60 days, if not already obtained.
- Experience: Required: Six months’ experience working with preschool age or younger children in a group setting.
- Education: Associate Degree Early Childhood Education Or Associate's Degree in child development.

- Experience: Preferred: At least one year working with young children in a Child Care Center or school setting
