What are the responsibilities and job description for the Addressing Specialist position at Bayfield County Coffee Co?
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Description Responsible for the management and
implementation of the Countywide Road Naming and Uniform Addressing
system; maintains GIS addressing and other databases; creates or edits
maps. Performs analysis and technical duties for the development and
maintenance of addressing data in the County\'s Geographic Information
System (GIS) and related programs. Working closely with the Towns and
Municipalities on their addressing concerns or issues. Works
independently on projects with minimal supervision. Most of the work is
in an office setting with a high concentration of computer work;
however, this position will also perform some field work to verify
information and place address signs. This is a half-time position
averaging 975 hours per year. The work schedule is flexible and will
vary throughout the year based upon the number of address requests.
Examples of Duties: Facilitates the naming of all newly created private
and public roads, existing un-named roads or easement drives to be
included in the 911 system, changes existing road names where conflicts
occur and maintains the master road name file for the entire county to
comply with NexGen 911 standard. Identifies existing addresses that are
found to have been incorrectly assigned, are out of sequence or a result
of other discrepancies and assigns new addresses. Notifies
jurisdictions, municipalities, landowners, post offices, law enforcement
dispatch centers, telephone communications companies, utilities,
delivery services, Census and other entities dependent on addresses or
changes for all roads and/or address assignments. Maintains accurate
ESN\'s (Emergency Service Zone Numbers), ALI (Automatic Location
Identification) and Master Street Address Guide (MSAG) data to support
the County Sheriff, Town and City Law Enforcement Dispatch Centers and
assists with resolving ALI discrepancies. Issue addresses and/or verify
online application addresses. Complete address application over the
phone. Place all paper applications in the online application. Work with
towns to put up new road signs and naming. Update the Master Street
Address Guide MSAG Use GIS to update roads, addresses and addresses.
Work with GIS programming contractor to make improvements to the online
address application. Complete County wide road and sign inventory,
implemented though ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Pro Answer calls from
Bayfield County Residences about their address Notify the property
owners of new address. Notify Bayfield County departments about an
address change. Receive address application from Land Records Office.
Travel throughout Bayfield County, to include very remote areas,
four-wheel drive needed in some areas. Assign and document address that
is consistent with the Bayfield County address system within three weeks
of application. Remove old signage and posts Place \"911\" marker at
address post location Complete location information form for Diggers
Hotline notification though online service. Submit assigned address to
Land Records Office identifying any issues with finding accurate
location. Once sign order received, procure address signs from Land
Records office. Install posts and signs as outlined in the countywide
address system ordinance based on Diggers locate markings. Document
installation and report to Land Records office Navigate to an address
with Lat Long and convert coordinates. Work with IPad updating progress
on each item of sign installation. Date and time of: Sign Assignment
Sign order Received Sign Diggers Hotline ticket placed Sign and post
placement Any issues preventing placement. Communicate with applicants

OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: 2-years of Post-Secondary schooling
in Computer Science, Real Estate, Land Records, GIS, Information
Management, Or Related Field. GIS Certificate Or Degree Preferred
Experience with A cGIS and database editing. Ability to work
independently. Valid Driver\'s License. Physical Requirements Ability to
drive a 4-wheel drive automobile. Lifting 40 lb. driver over your head
and installing 8\' metal posts with use of a post driver. Manual
dexterity to lift and install address signs with use of bolts and
screws. Ability to work outdoors in all types of terrain and weather
conditions. May be subject to a moderate degree of danger or risk due to
vehicular traffic, exposure to the elements, dust, pollen, and/or dogs.
