Responsibilities:
- Perform microbial strain isolation, culturing, and testing
- Conduct DNA extraction from diverse samples, including microbial cultures and environmental samples
- Prepare specialized microbiological media
- Implement improvements to laboratory processes, including automation
- Participate in the development of novel methods for targeted microbial isolation and testing
- Maintain accurate laboratory records in an electronic lab notebook
- Present findings at group and departmental meetings
Skills:
- Proficiency in general microbiology and molecular biology techniques
- Experience working in a BSL-2 lab environment (highly preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Collaborative attitude with the ability to work effectively in a team setting
- Experience with automation (preferred)
- Knowledge of microfluidics (preferred)

Qualifications:
