Unit Leader

As a Unit Leader, the incumbent in this role will be accountable for multiple squads within a designated unit to deliver specific manufacturing outcomes designed to support the overall Row Crop site mission. A Unit VACC leader is also responsible for filling the role of Visionary, Architect, Catalysts, and Coach for assigned unit, provide leadership support of Units and Squads for their area of responsibility and facilitate alignment with other teams onsite and off.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Foster collaboration in a flat network of autonomous entrepreneurial teams called squads;
• Support Unit and Squad’s focus on mission to deliver beneficial outcomes for all team members, customers, and stakeholders;

• Support the co-creation of value by flowing resources and expertise to support the development and delivery of the best product and customer experience;
• Inspire the development, exploration, and execution of creative ideas in rapid cycles (90 Day) ;
• Show up as your whole authentic self in creative mindset every day, focused on the success of all customers, stakeholders, and individuals within the team;
• Support squads needs to run daily production activities, enable them to execute daily production schedule to deliver the best product customer expertise;
• Be an escalation point for tasks and projects prioritization, problem solving continuous improvement, conflict resolution, displaying VACC behaviors and prioritizing the squad's self-organization first;
• Optimize squad members performance and development through empowerment and DSO principles , displaying VACC behaviors, coaching, feedback, discipline;
• Sponsor one PSS experts outside of the Unit as well;
• Close connection with other Unit Leads on and off site , supporting squad members to ensure the Unit members to ensure that the unit is receiving the support/resources they need to be successful. (Unit Gotos,engineers, advisors, etc.);
• Promotes fluid talent and resource unitization within the Unit, being outcome oriented;
• Ensure Unit compliance while empowering the squads as much as possible;
• Models VACC behaviors; Facilitating, the co-creation of a shared vision and higher purpose that resonate with customers (V)-designing, evolving and integrating the way we work, (A); Acting a an active multiple of change, removing obstacles and connecting different part of the system;
• Helping employees develop capabilities and mindsets to thrive and foster inclusion and empowerment;
• Monitor site P&L and provide assistance to teams as they ensure balance and alignment working.

WHO YOU ARE:

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma;
• Field, Quality, Planning, Distribution Logistics, Finance, Stewardship, Engineering, Enablement, HR, SSHE, IT/Automation, Strategy, Government Affairs, Legal, Sales, Local Community;

• Basic user knowledge of standard computer programs (Internet, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, tablets/smart devices) ;

• Valid drivers’ license (in order to be eligible to drive a company car, your driving record must meet guidelines based on the company’s risk screening for hiring drivers – Motor Vehicle Record will be reviewed as part of pre-employment screening) ;

• Ability to pass pre-employment physical;
• Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons or when business needs require it;

• Willingness and Ability to work multiple shifts (Days or Nights).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Science in agriculture, engineering disciplines, Supply Chain Management or similar degree and a minimum of 5 years of applicable;

• 5 years' experience in managing and developing teams;
• Leadership experience in manufacturing or supply chain ;
• Experience in managing and developing teams;
• Skilled at leading, managing conflict and negotiating with cross- functional teams;
• Demonstration of courage, candor and initiative in past assignments.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $100,551.20 - $150,826.80. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Other benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. If selected for this role, the offer may vary based on market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
