Software Development Co-Op

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role are to:

• Work as part of an agile product team to development, design, build, secure, upgrade, enhance and support the IoT platform and customer solutions which involve use of the platform;
• Conduct functional and non-functional testing;
• Validate procedures and process changes in a timely fashion;
• Develop technical documentation needed to accurately represent application design and code and to validate and verify solutions;
• Identify opportunities to develop new and better solutions (i.e. Research new updates and third-party software for integration into our devices);
• Collaborate with Software Engineers for medical device software development programs/products, including:
  • Application software;
  • Platform software;
  • Operating system software.
• Perform critical analysis of technical situations, identify problems, and work with the cross-functional team in resolving the problems;
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to establish the Center of Excellence (CoE) in Software Assurance function;
• Support other OS team members to ensure all requirements are being met;
• Support Team Leads on Operating Systems and Product Image creation and timelines;
• Collaborating within cross-functional teams across multiple geographies to convey problems, opportunities, solutions, and results in medical device R&D activities.

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related Engineering discipline;
• Ability to work 40 hours per week;
• Ability to work in-office in a hybrid fashion - 4 days a week in office.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with one or more of the following languages and frameworks: C , QT/QML, C#, .NET, Python, JavaScript, Node.js, Angular, and PowerShell;
• Familiarity with a database technology including SQL;
• Familiarity with development methodology: Agile Software Development, Scrums;
• Familiarity with IoT application platform.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately between $22.10 to $44.20. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.. This salary (or salary range) is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
