Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated laboratory professional to join our high-throughput analytical team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in receiving, preparing, and analyzing samples while ensuring data integrity and adherence to established ISO work instructions. Working under close supervision, this individual will collaborate within multi-discipline teams to deliver timely and accurate laboratory results that meet customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Receive, identify, and prepare incoming samples, ensuring correct labeling and appropriate analytical requests are in place
- Prepare and analyze samples in accordance with ISO work instructions and established protocols
- Prioritize analyses based on customer requirements and available laboratory capacity
- Organize and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously within a high-throughput laboratory environment
- Obtain, review, and validate analytical data to ensure accuracy and integrity
- Collaborate effectively within multi-discipline teams to deliver laboratory results efficiently
- Follow pre-established guidelines and instructions to perform all job functions
- Report findings and progress to direct supervisor in a timely manner
Skills
- Proficiency with total combustion analysis and elemental analysis techniques
- Hands-on experience with calorimetry and Gas Chromatography (GC)
- Working knowledge of NIR Spectroscopy and NMR techniques
- Experience with total oil analysis, colorimetry, falling number, farinograph, and mixograph
- Ability to perform bench-top wet chemical analyses accurately and safely
- Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
- Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities within multi-discipline groups
- High attention to detail and commitment to data integrity
Experience
- Minimum of 1–3 years of related industry laboratory experience required
- Directly applicable hands-on laboratory experience will be considered in lieu of formal degree requirements
- Prior experience in a high-throughput or ISO-compliant laboratory environment preferred
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biology, or a closely related scientific or engineering field required
- Equivalent directly applicable industry experience will be considered in lieu of degree requirements
