Your Tasks and Responsibilities
- Assist in the planting, staking and marking of field trials
- Collect field notes on various agronomic traits such as flowering dates, lodging, plant heights and maturities
- Assist with the maintenance of field trials to keep them weed, disease and insect free
- Adhere to safety and compliance policies when utilizing tools and operating equipment
Who you are
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability work extended hours during peak seasons
- Team player who is capable of working independently at times
- Dependable and possess a strong attention to detail
Learning Opportunities
- Technician will learn about basic agronomic principles including plant health, fertility, pest management and assessing crop maturity
- Observe and learn how to operate a UAV for data collection
- Learn how to properly mix and apply pesticides by a licensed pesticide applicator with the opportunity to test for their pesticide applicator’s license
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
