Job Summary
We’re hiring a dependable Truck Driver (CDL) to support construction and material transport projects around Manhattan and nearby areas. This position involves operating single, double, or triple axel trucks to haul materials (e.g., crushed rock, dirt), equipment, or tools—typically within a 50-mile radius. Drivers are responsible for loading/unloading, pre-trip inspections, and maintaining full DOT compliance.
Duties
- Safely operate trucks to transport materials, equipment, or tools to designated sites.
- Complete pre-trip inspections and routine vehicle checks.
- Load and unload materials, maneuvering truck based on site crew directions.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with DOT and safety standards.
- Communicate with supervisors and other drivers using CB radios or phones.
- Report mechanical issues, violations, or incidents promptly.
Requirements:
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Previous experience driving dump or material-hauling trucks preferred.
- Ability to lift 50–100 lbs and work in outdoor environments year-round.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and vehicle safety.
- Comfortable with basic maintenance and completing inspection paperwork.
- Must pass DOT health physicals and drug/alcohol testing.
