Role Overview
As a Supervisor – Lab Facility , you will lead laboratory operations, staff performance, and compliance efforts while ensuring high-quality diagnostic services and continuous operational improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing laboratory staff and daily departmental operations
- Hiring, onboarding, and scheduling staff to ensure appropriate coverage
- Conducting performance evaluations and coaching team members for growth and development
- Ensuring timely and accurate laboratory testing and result reporting
- Supporting staff competency, training, and validation processes
- Troubleshooting issues related to testing, equipment, and specimen handling
- Maintaining regulatory compliance and inspection readiness
- Enforcing laboratory safety standards and maintaining a safe work environment
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality
- Assisting with expense processing and departmental operations Supporting leadership priorities and performing additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science OR a related Clinical Science field
Experience
Required:
- Four (4) years of clinical laboratory or related experience
Licensure / Certification
Required:
- State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Supervisor License
