Sterile Processing Shift Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all processing and sterilization activities inclusive of decontamination, preparation and packaging of instrumentation and sterilization for all items processed by the department.
- Responsible for following predetermined workflow, writing monthly schedules, planning daily assignments for assigned shift, and completing annual evaluations.
- Acts as preceptor, mentor and resource in support of department team members.
Certification & Licensure:
Required - Sterile Processing Certification and 6 months hospital and 6 months instrument
- High School or Equivalent
- Knowledge of decontamination processes, preparation, and packaging, sterilization techniques based on manufacturer recommendations, and storage of sterilized items as well as knowledge of AMMI standards.
Experience:
Preferred - Hospital Experience

Shift: Shift 2
Shift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings, 3 = Nights, 4 = Varies
