Position Details:
Location: St. Petersburg, FL -Dermatology
Status: Full Time (non-exempt)
Shift: Monday- Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (may vary)

The scheduler is responsible for:
- Effectively and efficiently addresses the needs of both internal and external customers when scheduling patients by carefully collecting demographic, insurance, and procedure information
- Accurately schedule procedures
- Deliver complex clinical examination instructions
- Document patient response to clinical questions
- Keep the patient's physician and hospital offices current with information about their scheduled procedures
- Schedulers must be familiar with payer guidelines for balancing authorization requirements with scheduled appointment dates
- Perform general clerical support that includes answering telephones, data entry, communication, and other assigned duties
- Must be flexible and willing to rotate shifts periodically
- Must be able to travel within the BayCare Health System area using personal transportation.
Required Education:
High School or Equivalent
Experience:
Required 1 year customer service or
1 year healthcare or
1 year business related
