Position Details:
- Facility: BayCare Health System - Sleep Disorders
- Location: Morton Plant Hospital
- Status: Full Time, Exempt: No
- Shift Hours: 6:30PM - 7:00AM
- Shift: Nights
- Weekend Work: Occasional
- On Call: No
The Polysomnographic Technologist III is responsible for the performance of all the Sleep Disorders Center procedures in accordance with technical standards in the essential job functions approved by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM), American Association of Sleep Technologists (AAST), and the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT). Required to maintain and improve his/her level of clinical and technical knowledge in all aspects of the Sleep Disorders Center and may provide oversight and supervision of other technical staff within the Sleep Disorders Center.
Experience Required:
- Polysomnography - 4 years required
- Electroencephalography (EEG) - 4 years required
- OR Respiratory Therapist (RRT) 4 years required
- Preferred - 5 years Polysomnography
Education Required:
- High school or equivalent
- Technical Diploma/Associates Degree - Polysomnographic; Or Technical - Electroencephalogram (EEG); Or Technical Respiratory Therapy
- Specialty: Neurology - Respiratory Therapy - or Polysomnography preferred
Credentials Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- RPSGT (polysomnography) / RRT / Relevant Specialty
- CRT or LPN
