Oral Surgery & Implant Specialists BayCare Clinic is looking for a Surgical Assistant to join our team in Manitowoc, WI. We’re looking for a compassionate, thoughtful candidate who wants to contribute to a positive experience for all our patients. The typical hours for this role are Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:00pm. No Holidays! No Weekends!

The Clinic

BayCare Clinic is a successful, dynamic group comprised of 19 specialties. We are a physician-owned entity with joint ownership in Aurora BayCare Medical Center, a 167-bed hospital located in Green Bay, WI, offering us a built-in referral base. Oral Surgery & Implant Specialists BayCare Clinic is a high-volume growing practice with two main locations in Green Bay and Manitowoc with an additional outreach clinic in Sturgeon Bay. Our Providers offer a full range of oral and maxillofacial treatments to patients of all ages.

The Job

• Assists in the preparation of the patient room for surgical procedures.
• Is well prepared and anticipates the surgeon’s needs.
• Maintains effective, efficient, current, and appropriate clinical skills.
• Efficiently identifies and readies appropriate surgical supplies and instruments for surgical procedures.
• Performs initial and final instrument and surgical supply counts in accordance with policy.
• Strictly abides by all sterile technique procedures in accordance with policy.
• Follows all universal precautions.
• Provides a smooth transition for all patient treatment
• Safely and effectively dismantles sterile field and confines contaminated materials.
• Removes and decontaminates instruments in accordance with policy.
• Assists in the rapid and thorough surgical room turnover.
• Performs all X-Ray technology the office has to offer patients.
• Respects and maintains confidentiality.
• Works in a safe, compliant and ethical manner at all times.
• Is efficient in all aspects of Electronic Medical Record.
  
  

The Requirements

• Dental Background preferred.
• 6 months – 1 year prior experience preferred.
• Must have effective communication skills.
