BayCare Clinic Pain and Rehab Medicine is looking for a full-time Pre-Verification Specialist to join our team in Green Bay, WI. We’re looking for a compassionate, thoughtful candidate who wants to contribute to a positive experience for all our patients. The typical hours for this role are Monday-Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm. Remote availability after training. No Holidays! No Weekends!

We are a physician-owned entity with joint ownership in Aurora BayCare Medical Center, a 167-bed hospital located in Green Bay, WI, offering us a built-in referral base. BayCare Clinic Pain & Rehab Medicine is a high-volume practice, providing diagnosis and treatment for many pain and functional problems, ranging from musculoskeletal and neurological disorders to back pain and arthritis. We offer a wide range of treatments, including minimally invasive procedures, ultrasound guided injections, medication management, acupuncture, and other conservative non-surgical approaches.

The Job
- Using appropriate methods, obtains prior authorizations for diagnostic studies, procedures, surgeries, and testing as required by each particular insurance company including Worker’s Compensation.
- Verifies patient status through use of websites and phone calls to insurance carriers as necessary.
- Reviews specific coverage policies for individual insurance companies to ensure that requirements are met.
- Updates patient-specific insurance information as necessary in appropriate systems.
- Assists clinic staff and patients who have miscellaneous insurance information questions.
- Documents appropriate and accurate information in electronic record systems.
- Documents prior authorizations in electronic record.
- Respects and maintains confidentiality.
- Works in a safe, compliant and ethical manner at all times.
