CCD Janitor Night Crew

SUMMARY

Janitorial Services at the Auraria Campus - Community College of Denver. This facility includes 6 Educational and Administration buildings on an Open Campus in downtown Denver. Employees are expected to maintain professional working behavior and are responsible for the Custodial services at these facilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Cleaning and stocking of restrooms
• Cleaning and stocking of Breakrooms, sitting areas, conference rooms
• Trash collection from all waste and recycling receptacles in the spaces
• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming of all floor materials
• Machine cleaning of floors up to and including but limited to stripping and waxing.
• General custodial maintenance of lobbies and entryways
• Custodial services in stairwells, elevators, and hallways.
• Detail cleaning such as dusting of horizontal surfaces
• Routine checks of stock and accumulated waste
• Adhere to facility safety guidelines related to procedure, PPE, and other company policies,
• Adhere to facility rules on both the Tarmac and in the facilities themselves

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: 

• Report safety and maintenance concerns to supervisor
• Adhere to facility security guidelines
• Maintain custodial storage areas
• Customer Service
• Teamwork orientated

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Should you have concerns with co-workers and or customers it is the employee’s responsibility to report such concerns to their immediate supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS 

• Use of a Smart Phone and/or simple use of a computer for payroll purposes.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Highschool education/GED equivalent preferred but not needed.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

English as a first or second language preferred but not required.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Basic mathematic skills preferred but not needed.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form preferred.
