Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Inserter Operator to join our team. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining inserting and mailing equipment to ensure accurate, efficient processing of mail pieces. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and able to work in a fast-paced production environment.
**This is a Blue Crest Rival Inserter with computer-controlled interface, 3 cameras, and an inline addressing system. All applicants must have strong computer skills and mechanical skills.**
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate envelope inserting and mailing equipment efficiently and safely
- Set up machines for various jobs, ensuring proper alignment and function
- Monitor production to maintain quality standards and meet deadlines
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical or operational issues as they arise
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment
- Verify accuracy of mail pieces, including 1:1 matching processes
- Work with inline inkjet and read/write systems as needed
- Follow USPS sorting guidelines and requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Demonstrated knowledge of operating inserting and mailing equipment
- Familiarity with USPS sorting processes
- Strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Ability to lift 40–50 pounds frequently throughout the shift
- Ability to stand for the entire duration of the shift
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience operating envelope inserters preferred
- Experience setting up machines and resolving technical issues
- Experience with read/write systems, inline inkjet, and 1:1 match processes preferred
- Strong Computer Skills
- Experience with a Bluecrest Rival Inserter preferred.
Pay: $22.38 - $26.96 per hour
