BAYADA’s special needs caregivers - Direct Support Professionals DSPs - work one-on-one in home and community settings as a companion and mentor for individuals with intellectual or developmental disability (Autism, Down syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and other diagnoses) to help them reach their full potential. Qualifications for Our Support Professionals:
- One year experience working with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- High school diploma or equivalent (18 )
- Ability to work various shift types and locations while being adaptable and flexible
- Ability to transport clients to community activities
- Ability to travel from client to client within the zip code list provided
- Provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming)
- Accompany clients on errands and appointments
- Spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities
- Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation
- Participate in community integration activities
- Competitive pay rate starting at $18/hr.
