Quran, Arabic, and Islamic Studies - BA

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Quran Instructor to join our Bayaan Academy team. The ideal candidate will be fluent in speaking English and Arabic.

Key Responsibilities

• Teaching Duties
• Lesson Planning: Prepare and organize lesson plans that cover the Quranic curriculum, ensuring that lessons are engaging and informative.
• Teaching: Conduct regular classes, ensuring that students understand the Quranic texts, their meanings, and the application of Islamic teachings in daily life.
• Recitation and Tajweed: Teach students proper Quranic recitation and the rules of Tajweed (pronunciation).
• Arabic Language: Teach the basics of Arabic language to help students understand the Quranic text.
• Quranic Interpretation (Tafseer): Provide explanations and interpretations of Quranic verses to enhance students' understanding.
• Ethical and Moral Lessons: Impart lessons on Islamic ethics and morals derived from the Quran.
• Administrative Tasks
• Student Assessment: Evaluate students' progress through regular tests, quizzes, and assignments.
• Record Keeping: Maintain records of students’ attendance, progress, and performance.
• Parent Communication: Communicate with parents about their children's progress and any concerns.
• Resource Management: Manage educational resources, such as textbooks, workbooks, and digital tools.
• Curriculum Development: Participate in the development and improvement of the Quranic studies curriculum.
• Personal Development
• Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development through courses, workshops, and conferences related to Quranic studies and teaching methodologies.
• Religious Study: Stay updated with new interpretations, scholarly works, and contemporary issues in Islamic theology.
• Community Involvement: Participate in community events and activities to promote Islamic teachings and values.
  
  

Additional Responsibilities

• Counseling: Provide spiritual and moral guidance to students.
• Extracurricular Activities: Organize and participate in extracurricular activities related to Islamic culture and traditions.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to create a supportive learning environment.
