Employee Type: Full time Location: PA North East Job Type: Production Operations Job Posting Title: Batcher Utility Job Description: Key Result Accountabilities Efficient batching to ensure continuous availability to the production line Adheres to company safety, conduct sanitation, and follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) in all areas of responsibility Follows established batching Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and batching instructions including documentation of key data (lot codes, mixing times, cooking temperatures, etc) for the processing of consistent, high quality product 2. Has knowledge on how to operate control panel, fork lift, drum hauler, scales, and swing piping for CIP, follow batch ticket, and open drums. 4. Reviews and verifies the proper batches to be produced against the schedule and filler operator. 5. Weigh out the necessary ingredients required by formula. 6. Responsible to adhere to all batching procedures. 7. Verify accurate records. Records must be complete and legible for recall purposes including, batch number of raw materials and PBD’s, PBC’s etc... 8. Adhere to batching procedures to ensure batches are consistent in accordance with the PO 9. Assures that batch errors are kept to a minimum 10. Must know how to operate and perform all individual functions associated with batching such as; scales, control panel, valves, piping, pumps, drum hauler, forklift. 11. Monitors and coordinates lunches and breaks for the batchers. 12. Responsible for training of new and existing employees in the proper way of batching on all lines including Mayo, safe operation of pumps, scales, control panels, valves, and proper piping. 13. Responsible to appropriately communicate to packing area anytime product does not meet Specification for targeted product. 14. Responsible to ensure employees in processing maintain their work area clean and organized. 15. Responsible to plan for appropriate set ups or equipment and pre-batch and or staging of raw materials. 16. Be involved/contribute in processing improvement projects 17. Perform any and all other duties that may be assigned by Supervisor or Lead. Qualifications Positive Mental Attitude Capable of multi-tasking Able to direct and delegate responsibilities Handles multiple tasks simultaneously Demonstrates a strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills Possesses strong communication skills (written and oral) and math skills Possesses strong organizational and planning skills, and is detail oriented Complete understanding of processing operations Knowledge of BVF Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds, anything over should seek assistance Environmental Working Conditions Employee must comply with all safety policies and safe work procedures established by the company. Job tasks may also involve: Using personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, goggles, gloves, and other equipment as established in company policies and safe work procedures.
