Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Turf or Paver Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in hardscape installation, including paving, turf installation, and related construction activities. This role involves working on outdoor projects that enhance landscape aesthetics and functionality, requiring attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to operate various tools and equipment. Duties
- Install pavers, turf, and other hardscape elements according to project specifications and blueprints
- Prepare surfaces by grading, excavating, and setting forms for proper drainage and stability
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently during installation processes
- Read schematics, blueprints, and construction plans to ensure accurate placement of materials
- Coordinate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining safety standards
- Perform site inspections to verify quality of work and adherence to project requirements
- Assist with excavation, trenching, and backfilling as needed for landscape features
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly
Experience
- Proven experience in hardscape installation such as paving, masonry, or landscaping projects
- Familiarity with construction management principles and estimating is a plus
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings relevant to outdoor construction projects
- Experience operating heavy equipment and power tools used in construction sites
- Skills in concrete forming, masonry, tile laying, or related trades are advantageous
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety protocols
- Prior experience with plumbing or electrical systems is beneficial but not required
- Strong understanding of construction site safety standards and procedures
