Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our growing team. In this vital role, you will coordinate the scheduling and dispatching of pump truck drivers and service technicians, manage communication between field staff and customers, and ensure timely response to service requests. Your proactive approach will help us maintain our high standards of safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily scheduling, dispatching, and routing of drivers to meet operational demands and service commitments
- Communicate with drivers via phone, text, and Salesforce regarding job assignments, trip planning, maintenance updates, and operational needs
- Maintain dispatch operations using Salesforce Field Service, ensuring accurate scheduling records and seamless communication flow
- Monitor real-time route progress and ensure route completion through established driver check-in processes
- Ensure drivers are equipped with all necessary documentation, instructions, and information required to successfully complete assigned jobs
- Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming service requests, updates, and issue resolution
- Maintain professional, respectful communication with drivers, coworkers, and customers to foster strong working relationships and support business growth
- Identify and report driver performance concerns or operational issues to appropriate management for timely resolution
- Respond effectively to unexpected changes, delays, or service disruptions and implement appropriate solutions
- Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports related to dispatch activities
- Schedule maintenance plans in a timely manner
- Schedule grease dumping at treatment plants
- Assist CSR’s in answering calls
- Demonstrate accountability and pride in work, consistently striving to meet or exceed performance goals
- Ensure regular, predictable attendance as an essential function of the role
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior experience in dispatching, logistics, customer service, or a related field
- Proficiency with Salesforce Field Service or similar dispatch/scheduling software
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to adhere to company policies and rules set forth; promotes the company’s safety standards; does not take inappropriate risks
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
- Efficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, & Teams)
