What You Will Be Doing to Make a Difference...
- Use your recovery from substances to help other young people
- Provide young people a voice in their communities
- Plan recovery activities that bring young people together
- Run Young People peer support groups
- Provide education and support to young people
- Be part of a team of recovery specialists who support one another
- Organize and participate in community recovery events in your area
- Help other young people find his/her/their recovery pathway
- Be part of a statewide group of young people that are proud to be in recovery
Requirements
- Must be In Recovery or found Recovery from substance abuse as a young person (required)
- You will be paid to complete the Working with Youth and Young Adults for Recovery Coaches
- Working knowledge about available recovery resources in your community
- Open minded to all-pathways of recovery
- Live in the community you will serve
- BIPOC individuals strongly encouraged to apply; Language differential of up to $2,000 will be provided to new hires who are fluent in English and Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole, Cantonese/Mandarin etc.
