Junior Project Manager

We’re seeking a Junior Project Manager who is ready to take ownership of projects, grow their skills, and represent Bay Scenery with professionalism and confidence. If you have a strong construction background, great communication skills, and a passion for managing complex projects from start to finish, we’d like to meet you.
What You’ll Do
You’ll manage 5–10 active projects at a time, working closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution from design through completion.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Serving as the primary point of contact for clients, keeping communication clear and proactive.
- Coordinating schedules, materials, and subcontractors to maintain project momentum and quality.
- Preparing and managing change orders, including clear explanations to clients about cost and scope adjustments.
- Monitoring job progress, scheduling, and quality control alongside our production team.
- Managing budgets, documentation, and project tracking using project management tools such as Buildertrend or Procore.
- Helping guide clients through project decisions with professionalism and insight.
What You Bring
Construction & Technical Skills
- Working knowledge of residential construction processes, materials, and sequencing.
- Experience coordinating with subcontractors, inspectors, and vendors.
- Ability to perform quantity takeoffs and assist with estimating.
- Familiarity with permitting and inspection procedures in Bay Area jurisdictions.
- Basic understanding of scheduling tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar).
- Ability to identify constructability issues and propose solutions in the field.
Project Management Skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Strong documentation and follow-up habits (daily logs, RFIs, submittals, change orders).
- Experience tracking budgets, materials, and timelines.
- Proficiency with project management software (Buildertrend, Procore, etc.).
- Collaborative mindset — able to align with design and production teams to achieve client goals.
Client & Communication Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional demeanor with strong client-facing presence.
- Ability to handle conflict resolution and negotiations with clients and subs.
- Proactive communication — identifying potential issues before they escalate.
Safety & Compliance
- Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and site safety protocols.
- Commitment to compliance with all plans, codes, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in construction or landscape project management.
- 2 years of hands-on experience in landscape construction, including irrigation, hardscape, and lighting systems.
- AA degree in Construction Management, Landscaping, or Project Management preferred.
- Spanish language skills are a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between project sites in the Bay Area.
