What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barista (Part-time & Full-time) position at BAY MILLS INDIAN COMMUNITY?
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the F&B Supervisor, the Barista serves drinks to guests of the organization in an efficient, warmly, and courteously, following established procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Provides exemplary customer service by “Exceeding Expectations One Opportunity at a Time”.
2. Greets guests warmly, takes orders accurately, answer questions, and offers personalized recommendations.
3. Prepares and serves various hot and cold beverages for patrons following company recipes.
4. Operates and maintain coffee equipment.
5. Check customers’ ID to ensure they meet the minimum age requirement for consumption of alcoholic beverages (21 ).
6. Mixes and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to patrons following standard recipes.
7. Mixes ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
8. Collects payment from customers.
9. Enters all sales transactions into point-of-sale (POS) system.
10. Slices and pits fruit for garnishing drinks.
11. Stock food items, such as pastries or sandwiches, according to safety regulations.
12. Monitor and replenish supplies such as coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, etc., and arranges them to create attractive displays.
13. Performs openings and closing duties.
14. Maintains a neat and clean appearance while wearing proper uniform.
15. Assumes responsibility for balancing all transactions at the end of each shift.
16. Assists other positions when needed and cooperates well with co-workers.
17. Cleans the entire work area and utensils frequently.
18. Balances all transactions at the end of each shift.
19. Performs physical inventory of products.
20. Learns and follows daily policies and procedures for the F&B Department and Bay Mills Resort & Casino.
21. Must attend all mandatory trainings designated by the Human Resources Department and/or Department Manager, including TIPS.
22. Other duties may be assigned within the scope and complexity of this position’s essential functions.
