About Us
We are a well-established landscaping and hardscaping company serving the Norfolk area for over 40 years. Our team takes pride in delivering high-quality outdoor spaces and professional service. We are currently seeking a Landscape Crew Member to join our field team and support ongoing lawn maintenance and landscaping projects.
This is a hands-on, physically active role for someone who enjoys outdoor work, values craftsmanship, and takes pride in attention to detail.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform routine lawn mowing using walk-behind, push, and zero-turn mowers
- Edge along sidewalks, driveways, flower beds, and hardscape borders for clean, professional results
- Use blowers and hand tools to clear grass clippings, leaves, and debris from job sites
- Assist with seasonal services such as bed cleanups, mulch installation, pruning, and leaf removal
- Support landscape and hardscape installations, including patios, walkways, and garden features
- Load, move, and place materials such as mulch, soil, stone, and pavers (up to ~60 lbs)
- Inspect tools and equipment daily and report maintenance needs
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members
- Follow company safety standards and job procedures
- Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to work at assigned job sites
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work Monday–Friday
- Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work (lifting, bending, standing for extended periods)
- Basic comfort using smartphone apps for schedules, time tracking, and job updates (we use Jobber)
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Team-oriented mindset and good customer service skills
Preferred:
- Previous landscaping, lawn care, or construction experience
- Familiarity with landscaping equipment and tools
- Experience using Jobber or similar field service software
