Job Description
Seeking an energetic and friendly full-time or part-time (24 - 32 hours per week) RN for a pediatric practice who enjoys working in a team environment. Pediatric experience preferred. To apply, please send resume.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create a friendly environment for patients at all times. Provide a pleasant and professional experience for each patient.
- Work closely with providers to provide quality care to pediatric patients for well visits and acute visits.
- Provide nursing care for patients for entire visit including intake, vitals, immunizations, treatments, lab services (rapid testing and capillary blood draws) and follow up if required.
- Phone triage. Appropriately evaluate, assess, and document patients' questions or concerns. Schedules appointment if needed. Provides medical advice in accordance with the standard of care set forth by the practice and AAP / Barton & Schmitt guidelines.
- Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of patient, staff and practice information.
- Model professional and positive work ethic to coworkers, patients and their families.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Pediatric office experience is strongly preferred.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, be detail-oriented and work efficiently in a primary care environment.
- Highly effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with all patients, visitors, and staff.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment, including but not limited to: computers/EHR, telephone systems, copiers and facsimile machines.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Teamwork and "can-do" attitude.
Required license or certification:
- Maryland RN license
Pay: $33.00 - $36.00 per hour
