Overview
Bay East Animal Hospital is ready to add a full-time licensed technician to our team. Bay East Animal Hospital is a busy, full-service small animal veterinary practice that has been offering exceptional medical and surgical care to the pets of Green Bay for over fifty years. We are a locally owned, four-doctor, AAHA practice that values the relationships we form with our clients and patients.
Our technician’s use all their skills and talents and are encouraged to grow through continuing education. Duties include lab work, anesthesia, dentistry, radiology, patient care, and client education. We are equipped with therapy laser, ultrasound, digital radiology, digital dental radiology, and a full Idexx lab suite. We have a team of veterinary assistants that enables our technicians to fully utilize their skills.
Requirements
- A strong foundation in veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and surgical assistance.
- Knowledge of dental terminology.
- Experience in veterinary anesthesia monitoring is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with veterinary software systems for record keeping and scheduling is essential.
- Ability to perform IV catheters, phlebotomy, and other laboratory procedures efficiently.
- Strong animal handling skills including restraint techniques for dogs and cats.
- Excellent communication skills for client education on pet care topics like medication administration and diagnostic procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations while maintaining a positive attitude.

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 34.0 – 40.0 per week
