Summary
Full-time/Part-time Full-Time Position Type Staff Job Summary/Basic Function
This position is for a full-time, non-faculty position. Functions include coordination with Simulation Coordinator, IT, Nursing, EMT/Paramedic faculty and staff to manage laboratory (lab) supplies, equipment, technology, inventory and other resources in order to deliver a variety of training and scenarios for the benefit of students and faculty in the Allied Health Division. Additional functions include assisting the Allied Health Division simulation schedule to be arranged to meet student and faculty needs. Additionally, to participate in simulation scenarios at the direction of the Simulation Coordinator and in conjunction with the faculty.
Minimum Qualifications
Reports to the Allied Health Simulation and Clinical Coordinator.

This position will be required to travel to the Iron Mountain Campus throughout the semesters.

Collaborate with the Allied Health Simulation and Clinical Coordinator, EMT/Paramedic Program Director, and faculty to ensure preparation of lab supplies and equipment based on faculty requests and course schedule.

Set up and break down scenario environment (obtaining and returning scenario props when needed)
Job Duty
Operate audio-visual and simulation equipment.
Job Duty
Ability to follow medical aspects of scenarios and make appropriate adjustments based on participate actions.
Job Duty
Under the direction of the Allied Health Simulation and Clinical Coordinator, Dean, and/or EMT/Paramedic program director, create laboratory packets (including medications, IV fluids, medications etc.) for laboratory and simulation scenarios.
Job Duty
Play standardized patient or patient voice when needed.
Job Duty
Collaborates with Allied Health Simulation and Clinical Coordinator on work assignments, and ordering and maintaining inventory of all lab supplies.
Job Duty
Perform laboratory housekeeping duties.
Job Duty
Ability to work flexible schedule (early mornings, late evenings, or weekends may be required)

Any other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
- Associates degree in an allied health field, associate in computer science or related field or two years’ work experience in a health care, IT or related field.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to troubleshoot multiple software and network hardware systems.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- General knowledge related to electronics, cabling and computers.
- Solid interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and build relationships.
- Ability to learn new equipment and update skills to adapt to changing technology.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to think logically and follow directions.
- Innovative approaches to problem solving.
- Ability to adapt to changes in role and schedule in order to best meet the needs of students, faculty, organization and community.
- Communicate with students, colleagues, and other stakeholders in a professional manner.
- Associates degree in an allied health field, associate in computer science or related field.
- Experience with Laerdel and other simulation equipment.
- Experience with electronic health documentation in a simulated environment.
- Experience with delivery of simulation scenarios.
